I just built evince from the evince_2.28.1-0ubuntu1 source + the 3
patchs from this thread. The problem is indeed fixed. I think it's ready
for packaging.

I can confirm that there must be a bug in alacarte also or still in
Ubuntu 9.10. But I think it is not a problem of renaming things, but the
dialogue does not choose a folder or a file - the dialogue asks for a
folder to create. Seems to be a wrong type of dialogue?

I accept that the services old app doesn't work any more and requires fixing or
replacing.
I understand that no-one has the time. However for a supposedly user-friendly
O/S like Ubuntu to remove the GUI option and leave users no option except to
use the command line is absolutely not a good ide

Deinstalled Rhythmbox via sudo apt-get remove rhythmbox, restarted
system because of kernel update 2.6.31-15-generic (AMD64, Karmic Koala
9.10, EXT-4 Filesystem). After reboot Apport-popup came up after wich I
created the bug-info.

Same on Karmic with latest updates and Inetl 865G video. File
descriptors start growing and growing up to the limit, then you get this
kind of message in dmesg: VFS: file-max limit 47311 reached. Closing the
game brings everything to normal. Tested only Spider Solitaire.

I'm not sure we really want to be doing this.
As it would cause Bug 476170 , where the greyscale icon would now popup in the
end and the order of monochrome and greyscale icons would become
inconsistent/random.
But, on the other hand it might cause the icon to be more distinguished
as a system

I confirm this bug on official Koala Karmic.

Migrated from Pidgin to empathy, imported parameter and added empathy to
Gnome software at startup. Empathy is started but wouldn't connect to my
yahoo account. I have to disable the account and re enable it to be able
to connect.
