I use bookmarks for SFTP and some frequently visited folders on my computer and
home server.
This adds up to about 20 bookmarks. There would be more, but with these it's

On final Karmic release, I ran:
1) dbus-monitor --session
"type='signal',interface='org.freedesktop.PowerManagement'"
2) lshal -m
And opened and closed the lid. In both cases, there was no log output at all
other than the initial start-up messages from those commands.

I'm seeing the same thing, on a Sun type 6 USB keyboard (PC layout).
Keycode 22, which is backspace, simply isn't defined. xmodmap -pk
reports no definition, and xev accordingly reports it as "NoSymbol". A
temporary workaround is this:

i found the problem but, i don't know how solve.
When I move volume slider, or press volume buttons on my computer, i see in
alsamixer 3 bars "master", "PCM" and "LFE".
Starting from zero volume, first PCM and LFE has volume grows, and then when
they are full (100) then "master" starts to grow.

I find this Gnome bug reporting process via Ubuntu to be discouraging,
unfriendly, and in need of reworking.
I've just spent a bunch of my time researching and documenting a bug,
registering it with Launchpad, searching for duplicates, and reporting it.
Now Ubuntu tells me: "we don't write this so

CHKDSK /R reports no problems. Nor does SeaTools.
Palimpsest reports 55 bad sectors.
