I am unable to play the stream with the amarok version from Karmic. amarok was
the only app able to stream in the past.

I just debugged that on IRC with Sebastien.
So there's two different aspects here:
* For Martin, media-player-info does not add the ID_MEDIA_PLAYER
attribute to udev. This worked for Seb.
* gvfs does not check the ID_MEDIA_PLAYER attribute on storage devices
to set a proper icon and MIME type
Well this has taken to long already I'm seriously thinking of replacing
nautilus by Thunar. It's really ridiculous that a bug like this just
persists. Unless gnome is protecting it's desktop.

Sorry for the delay.
Oh, sorry, thought I had included the version I was on. I was using the
Karmic alpha but I've had to switch back to Jaunty for various reasons
(shouldn't really have been using an alpha version on my work machine I
suppose).

I'm not meaning to sound rude, but I have seen this bug fixed in previous
versions, so I don't see why it has come back.
However, I do not know much about nautilus under the hood, so there could have
been another bug fix that occurred in the newer versions that brought this bug
back.
