Click manage groups and add a group called "nopasswdlogin". After that it won't

So I've done some more testing. It appears that when I'm on same local network,
the hang only lasts for a few seconds (still annoying though). It freezes when

This seems to happen with me when I select a song previously played. It
may be something to do with the way that last.fm serves content as a
radio thing with no control about going back, so this may be just a case
of wallpapering over it.

I can confirm this, as it's happened to me also.
It seems to be when you've timed out an authorisation to last.fm, and
therefore the URLs that it's trying to download are no longer valid, and
therefore you get redirected (or shown) a 404 page. Rythmbox then tries
to download this as a media file.
A fix for this is to lower all other sound channel by 10dB and then
restore it afterwards. But then it means that pulse need to know when to
restore it.
Anyway pulse needs to be smart to know which sound channel it needs to
suppress. For example if I watch a movie I do not want it to just
suddenly

A additional tip about the both applets that show up seen at
'Bildschirmfoto-1.png:
After clicking on the icons the following options (icon an text)
appears:
LEFT: (play symbol) CD play
(eject symbol) Audio-CD eject
RIGHT: (folder symbol) Audio-CD open

After clicking on 'eject' on the RIGHT icon it disappears BUT nothing
happens.
The LEFT icon now says 'not mounted' and after again clicking 'eject'
the CD comes out!
BTW: I installed the system fresh three days ago so the bug is definitly

I lied again, it doesn't happen every boot. It only happens when I start
the laptop without the a/c adapter plugged in. The default behavior when
unplugged is to dim the screen and when it tries to do this it jumps
between two brightness levels in a loop. This also happens if I increase

each crash. Another restart seemed to fix the problem.

resolution: displayconfig-gtk. This is very useful, because the

i got the same error here with another file. the file is created with
openoffice, named "Übung.doc", then compressed in "test.zip" with ubuntu
9.04. then i sent it per mail to another computer and tried to
decompress it with ubuntu 9.10.
when trying to open the file in the archive there is followi
