The new networking scripts failed to find my br0 defined in
/etc/network/interfaces.
(Fortunately this motherboard has IPMI2 KVM-over-dedicated-IP, otherwise I
would have been up a creek)

I don't know what action triggered it. Since Nautilus will launch on
every window open, file action etc - if the stack trace from apport
isn't useful... Maybe a patch is needed to have Valgrind used on every

I suspect this design is much more intuitive when there are multiple
separate users. Each would have a button and the person logging in
makes a choice. But a different approach is needed when there is only

OK, now gladly disregarding VB and your external keyboard. My advice is to
1. change keyboard layout from "USA Mac" to "USA" and
2. change keyboard model from "Generic" to "Apple/MacBook/MacBook Pro".
Order is relevant if you want to avoid error messages in between.

I can confirm this bug on jaunty.
rm -R ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session
works as a workaround but is a no-go for usability and new users.
This bug is more than three years old and still not fixed.
Another point is: The man page of "gnome-session" is wrong:

I solved this problem in my evolution app by Udating the "evolution"
Install with "Synaptic Package Manager". I am running Alpha 5. Once the
update was executed the problem of the Missing "Apply" button in
Evolution application was solved. I can now add mail accounts and save
the settings etc.
