You are right! , the description is misleading.
I simply assumed the reporter was commenting about .txt files from windows
partitions or external ntfs/vfat volumes which are mounted with exec priv by
default !

I run on kubuntu karmic alpha5, the kpackagekit don't respect setup
proxy environment who in this case are as default with direct
connection. kpackagekit use proxy anyway and are no possibility to make
it as direct connection.

Hey, I always thought that the shutdown dialog (which possibly should be
called something else) should have an option to lock the screen, like in
Windows XP. That option, which is non-destructive if selected by
mistake, should be the default. In that way nobody would have to worry

After the upgrade to karmic for testing, i fount out win key as third level
choose doesn't work any more ...
I have already checked "Press any of the win keys to choose third level
choosers", in keyboard settings
And also checked "Super is mapped to win-

The help button on the top panel does not open help.
Note, I have firefox running before pressing the help button.
I press the button and I get the spinning wait pointer while on the desktop
(not when in the Firefox window)

Binary package hint: f-spot
If I run f-spot-screensaver by hand I get a window which cycles through
the correct photos, but this does not happen in either the gnome
screensaver preferences or if I preview the screensaver or activate the
actual screensaver - in those situation
