I figured it out... the problem was setting the templates directory in
.config/user-dirs.dirs as:
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"

/var/log/daemon.log that isn't in the other journals? I've just found
bug 231180 about users-admin reporting the very same error, but with
different symptoms.
And even more interestingly, bug 332050 is about a problem with bzr-gtk

daemonize when activated from D-Bus. The problem is, I don't think the
modules actually daemonize.

I've updated 16_use_synchronous_notifications.patch now and also dropped
61_fix_volume_notification.patch, as it is no longer needed with the new
volume control code - changes are in the ~ubuntu-desktop branch

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ekiga
When I choose a tel. number I have a message on ekiga that the connection was
finished. I can call to echo test.
Moreover the Voip provider's account tracking shows error no 200. It is
described as the unknown bug.
Also I can receive a connection
This bug seems to be fixed in Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala.
I've upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10, and the repeat for the down and left arrow
keys works like normal now.
