I cannot reproduce that here either, yes could be something related to
the network connection which are hard to reproduce and to fix. we still
need the log though, so if you manage to reproduce it, please attach it

Thanks for the fix, now the applet responds to my clicks and shows a
nice "sleep not allowed" icon - but it does NOT prevent the laptop from

1) stop ntp
2) launch ntpdate

Karmic, brasero version on 8.10 is known to not work correctly.
