The problem seems to be more related to the GTK object itlself.
Some other actions are also missing that are very helpfull.
For example as it is impossible to create a folder when in list mode it is also
impossible to drag&drop to copy a file when also in list mode.

I confirm this bug, it's happened to me a couple of times now, but
usually times out in around 2-3 mins. In the meantime I usually login
via another terminal and use links to browse around :)
It's an incredibly annoying issue!

I am closing this as won't fix for now. There have been no usable
comments for a long time. Also there have been so many issues mixed that
it is near impossible to work with this report. If there are still
issues like this I would propose to open a new one and try to keep
different hardware separat
Right but should the init scripts all try to workaround every way users
might have screwed their install? It would add complexity and bugs only
to try to workaround users touching things they should not
