I've got this one too, 2-day old Jaunty install, en_US.UTF-8 locale,
default Ubuntu Gnome theme. Can empty trash from trash applet right-
click menu, but opening trash in Nautilus shows disabled "Empty Trash"

Having discussed a better metaphor for the the icon together with David
Siegel, I suggest Nautilus should use this icon instead.
It will signal "text entry" to the user and when toggled users won't
have any hard time getting back to breadcrumb mode since they will
remember what button they clicked

Here's the error I got when attempting to test the rebuild nautilus-
gksu:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of nautilus-gksu:

I can confirm this exact bug, while trying to change the word

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad with a Fn+F7 key that's used to cycle video
output configurations (handled via gnome-settings-daemon). Prior to
switching to KMS in karmic, I would get four output options: LVDS on/VGA
off, LVDS off/VGA
This bug is also affecting me on Jaunty. Maybe I'm not the norm, but I
do need to switch between Metacity and Compiz on a daily basis, so this
is quite annoying for me.

Scott, I apologize for taking so long– work has been taking all my time!
Finally, I was able to test Karmic, and I can tell you that the bug IS
NOT present in Karmic. It has been fixed (at least for me).

without KMS, which I needed to do in order to show this is not
(entirely) a gnome-settings-daemon issue. Here's the output of xrandr
