I discovered this when I organised my menus into logical categories
instead of the menus been monolithic.
To reproduce try the following;
Create a new menu called Multimedia in System > Preferences
Then copy over the following items from within Preferences into the new
Multimedia menu;
Sound
Vo
The fact that this sorry argument has been going on is good evidence
that the Linux community still doesnt fully "get it". Users dont expect
to have to create their own templates and put them in the right place.
They just expect them *to be there*. It's really not a big dealt to have
~15 or so temp

Junk filtering is DISABLED in evolution (edit -> preferences -> junk,

The present behavior is actually a good feature.
The user can set a different theme/icon set for the root user, this is useful
when working with several windows and to quickly realize that the window has

configuration
since activated, transmission docks in karmic (what was not necessary in
previous releases), RB does not

When opening pictures to view in eog, eye of gnome, the file chooser
defaults to the user's home directory. Given that this is an app for
viewing pictures, it would be preferable, and a usability improvement,
to default to the user's "Pictures" direc
Actually the way windows and OS X does it is if its text, its copied to
the clipboard. If it's something larger like part of a graphic like
photoshop does, they monitor the source. If the source is closed, that
question pops up asking if the user wants to keep it in the clipboard.

whinges about being run as root.

so conflicts FUSA for a good reason.

I can confirm this problem on a Lenovo T61 Thinkpad using Ubuntu 9.04
with Nvidia graphics card. I used to work with the proprietary driver
(which worked rather fine) and wanted to try out how it works without,
and as it occurs, it doesn't work.
