Hi, I have same problem.I solved it disabling MD5 on Brasero. You can do
it from Edit->Plugins. Now I can burn a dvd in 5 minutes before it did
in 30 minutes.
The only problem I found is that the speed displayed in brasero does not
match the actual speed that the recorder acts, for example, in Bra

I get this behaviour on Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit. I notice that the tooltip
returns when the seconds option for the time is disabled.
For some reason, this problem only happens when I'm using a different
theme than the default Human. I'm using the bundled "New Wave" theme,

This report looks very familiar to me. I installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a USB stick
to boot it from a Dell D520 laptop, and after a day or so the device just went
off, usually during Nautilus use: the desktop reported resources to be
unavailable. At first, rebooting was possible, but after a while it

Followed John Logan's steps
Does not work for me
Using a MS LC VX-6000 on Jaunty amd64
Starting Cheese causes webcam light to flash (guess its trying to initialize),
but no image or video in cheese.
Anyone any suggestions as to how to investigate further/fix?

Andrew, thanks for the patch! That is a very constructive contribution.
However, I would not keep separate files for Ubuntu and Debian. Already
having just one file that defines which hacks go in and having the
maintainer script generate the necessary packaging files is good enough.
