In the meantime - for those who do not know and need an external drive
while testing karmic - you can mount your drive by hand:
sudo -s
mkdir /media/volumename
mount /dev/sdb1 /media/volumename
where /dev/sdb1 is replaced by your partition, and volumename is a
directory of your choice.

This "rename by click" feature is just in the way of modern web 2.0 apps
(inline editing) and is present in all other OS I know (standard)

Keyboard Shortcuts doesn't work
So, I tried the same sequence for the "Run terminal" action, and I got
the same problem. It means, I set "Ctrl+Alt+t" shortcut to the "Run
terminal" action, after that I reset it (now it's in the "Disabled"
state), but I still can run the terminal by pressing the "Ctrl+Alt+t"
shortcut.
