i have the exact same problem! autologin works for a few days after
ubuntu install, but then sporadically falls back to the login screen. it
helped to deaktivate and activate again the autologin in the config-
tool, but then some restarts later, it didnt take effect. so I changed
the autologin manu

from your system, and autologin will work again! the preload package in
ubuntu repository is completely outdated (2 years old!), and if you want

The bug seems to not happen in Totem when you play the video entirely
(without pause and rewinds).
Asap I confirm this behaviour I post here again.
PS: I don't know if this could happen in gst-launch and ffplay, because

If I load nautilus up and I view the files and folders as a list I get the

If I use the keyboard to quickly move to a folder that starts with 'S',
I press the 'S' key. In this case

"paste" in context menu of files is completely against all usability concerns.
I wether want to paste a file into another nor create a folder inside a file,
Recently I have purchased a new Laptop and I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 64bit
on it.
I have tried to burn a DVD-DL with Brasero, and this time all has worked well.
So I guess that my old Laptop has some problem with his CD/DVD writer and
Brasero actually function well.

xtknight, I wrote a similar patch to disable scrolling in the workspace
switcher, maybe we should use the same gconf key name?

I don't think it's necessary to add a GUI option to enable the
scrolling, this just clutter the gui, better let it rest in gconf for
the ge
David, well I do - I use scrolling a lot, not using compiz because of
problem with graphics driver. But if I would, I'd miss the scrolling.

Oh, by the way, you can use the arrows for navigating the cursor and
that actually makes more sense than using the mouse, since you've got

I understand your concern, but the truth is that the Desktop becomes
very cluttered and ugly when used as a download folder. When you mount
and dismount drives regularly, you will see that the placement of new
downloads becomes fragmented, and when you reach the limit, the icons
