I can decrease priority of a process (specifically g-s-m) but system
hung very solidly on every attempt I've made recently to increase
priority (set less nice).
When hung the busy/wait indicator spins and tracks mouse movement, but
NOTHING ELSE responds, including mouse click
This is nothing to do with design and so is not a "Paper Cut".
A "Paper Cut" is an issue with design and usability, something subtle.
Don't worry, though, your issue is still a bug. It might help if you
update your description with more information, such as the version of
Ubuntu you are using.

If this dosne't qualify as a papercut, I don't know what else is
qualifying. This is an anoying bug, that hurts a lot of the gnome/ubuntu
credibility. This is also a visual glitch that affect the overall
usability. And this is the first bug I had in mind when reading about
the papercuts.

i really think it should go in the places menu,
why sould i need to go to the desktop to unmount a drive. In Windows
there's a icon in the systray
why not go for something really original, instead of only change a word.
Icons are A LOT more intuitive than words.

Yes, it is a really annoying issue, especially when you start a DnD operation.
The VA's proposed solution could work, but it doesn't persuade me very much.

The patch just papers over the fact that the original check is buggy:
file_format is always set to the null string, when it should be "pdf" or
"ps".
I'll try to figure out why this happens.
