Hi,
I suspect that this has to do with the fact that if you launch totem from the
system menu, then it will not honour the proxy settings. When we open a
terminal first and launch totem from that then YouTube plugin works.
This is also happening with googleearth

First, to fix this error type:-
sudo sed -ie "s/^\s*main.*$//g" /etc/apt/sources.list
It is important that the first line you type is all on one line (I think
that launchpad may have cut it in half), instead type these four lines
but make sure that you DONT SPLIT ANY OF THE LINES (Each time
/me just thought to maybe tell about the end of line terminator "\" but
don't want to confuse the issue further :(

Just like to add I've found the same problem using a Samsung T10. This

If I attempt to play a song whose file name has a special character in
it such as at sign (@) or a ampersand (&), the song does not play, and
the progress-bar does not move. The interface remains responsive until
you hit Next Track. At this point the interface becomes unrespon

-> Then, reshaping all gnome-python* packages to have one dbg package per

Concernant the binaries debug symbols, from my understanding, this is enough:

I can assure you that it still hangs. If you know a better way of
figuring out why it's really freezing, be my guest and inform you. I
always have to find a terminal to manually kill the gnome-panel so that
it re-spawns and starts working again.
