Well that was indeed the problem. Once the custom kernel was running,
with the CPU frequency throttling simply and basically turned on, there
was no more problem. The low frequency and power saving governors ran
perfectly.
On the other hand I had no more Wi-Fi. 'Going to try to solve that one
now.
One friend just upgraded Ubuntu 8.10 (32 bit) to 9.04 and the weather
info in the Clock applet is gone however it was OK on 8.10.

I agree with Guillaume, I'm also a bit disappointed. On my phone I can
easily select the folder that it should threat as trash, but when I
first could not find this feature in Evolution I was very confused. This
should be available. Other than this minor anoyance, I think Evolution
is the best clie
