I have also had this issue as well. One thing I have noticed is that I
can remote in (using ssh) to the box and reboot or shutdown the system.

It's a Pidgin plugin, actually. So the bug should probably be

Here's what I attempted. I also tried another type of thumb drive with
the same results. And yes, I did try a command line to view the
contents via ls and the results were null. The thumb drives were

My proposal here is to do the same thing I'm experimenting with for
Wine: have the mime type associate with a new application that checks
for the execute bit - if it's there it's passed normally, and if it's
not the user gets a "run (and set execute bit) vs cancel" prompt.

This occurs on my amd64 upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04.
Gnome panel 2.26.0
It pretty much negates any advantage in two monitors in Dualview.
I think its importance should be higher.

than an SSH connection. It's placed right alongside FTP, and when you
open one with nautilus you write sftp:// rather than ssh://

bug. Given the example pdf on Jaunty, evince will zoom out to ridiculous
levels (claiming it to be 50%) every time one clicks on the index.
