After using gedit, I can confirm that this is definitely a problem with
the gtk file chooser.

OK I just tried following the instructions and this is what I was able
to come up with.
I did indeed try to save a reoccurring event and the calendar froze up
solid and I had to do a force quit.
It will do this every time. I cannot even click on anything in the
calendar section with out the freez

Evolution. The symptoms in Pidgin are slow tab switching (3+ secs) in

Pretty much anytime I try to delete anything the trash shows as empty
and the files show up in .local/share/Trash/files. If I hit delete they
disappear and come right back into the same folder. I have to use the
terminal and use the rm to get rid of them

I believe the user is using nautilus, so therefor I relocate the package
there.

when I try to delete anything the trash goes to .local/share/Trash/files. The
only way I can get rid of them is to use the terminal.

So then do I need to insert "evolution-data-server" and not just
"evolution" (where the lines are) ? To begin the backtrace to
help solve my problem?

Do you want me to upgrade to the Jaunty distribution, or is it
sufficient to upgrade only evolution to the level it has achieved in the
next distro? If you mean the second solution, let me know a simple way
to install the Jaunty version of evolution without a complete distro
upgrade.

i still have this problem and it has never gone away - recently
installed 9.04 on a new drive but i can still boot into 7.10 off my
older drive if i choose.
samba installed, can see shared folders on 9.04 box from any windows xp box
BUT 9.04 box is unable to resolve windows host names using nautil
