Just for the record, the removal of "Wl,--as-needed" is also required,
otherwise the daemon crashes when it loads libsexy. The reason seems to
be that libsexy is not mapped into memory from the daemon. So when the
theme engine module is loaded it maps libsexy and registers with the
gobject system.

I don't see a reason for leaving .Trash-1000 on the users drive either,
after they were even asked to clean up they trash, and they -did-. Not
all OS's respect the period either, so to the user it seems like Ubuntu
didn't do it's job of cleaning properly to begin with.
