I can reproduce this problem at will:
using nautilus 2.24.2 on fc10 (2.6.27.19)
Open any folder containing .avi files in "icon view" and watch resource meter.
see memory usage going up to whatever. Exit nautilus. memory is released.
Restart nautilus, select "list view" for the directory containi
it would be nice if somebody having the issue could open the bug on
bugzilla.gnome.org where the people writting the code will actually read
it, there is no ubuntu triager knowing that code well enough to debug

Thanks for the quick response Tchalvak, may you please update your
poppler to latest on jaunty and test again? I cannot reproduce the crash
with latest packages here, but I'm on 386 and this probably is a amd64
only crash, let's see, thanks again.

beta is enough too. cannot reproduce this with latest poppler packages

I just killed a perfectly good Ubuntu 9.04 by unchecking the Service
DBUS by accident...had to do a complete reinstall. This service should
not be available to the average user.
