I have _exactly_ the same bug !
With a fresh account (I created one for test purpose) this bug does not appear.
I am trying to figure out where does this come, but found nothing yet.
I have an nvidia 8600, Jaunty up-to-date. I am using compiz as a window
decorator, choosing System > Prefs > Appea
I have this problem w/exchange, with a current Jaunty system.
I also managed to fix it by editing the filter.xml file as described in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=474695
So the bug...is still a bug. ;-)

I get normal scrolling - up increases volume - if I use the scroll wheel
while the mouse is pointing at the icon in the panel. If I click on that

connecting to MS Exchange servers (through a buggy but sometimes working
OWA connector). Jaunty now features Evolution 2.26.0 and now you cannot

Seen in intrepid 64 bit AMD. I see this a lot. I do a lot of suspend to
RAM, it may have something to do with that. Also playing wormux (which
crashes a lot and sometimes takes X - the mouse pointer specifically -

I see that the last comment was in December for this thread. Has anyone
figured out a fix for this yet? I am a noob to Ubuntu and currently have this
problem. I can't seem to get to my desktop at all.

your configuration could be corrupted that's why i asked you test with
another user, anyways, Klondike is available on Jaunty, if you got the
same bug with jaunty please reopen, but as said that's probably isn't
one.

Ok thanks, please keep us posted. but as said the new message
notification of evolution of known to be broken and tend to report wrong
counts, in jaunty should be better though, thanks marco.
