What warning does it show? Desktop files don't need to be executable
AFAIK. If it is a warning about the launcher being untrusted, and gives
you the option to mark it as trusted then that is a design decision and
is expected behaviour.

Ok, I see now. Nautilus does require the desktop files to be executable
now, as a fix to bug 153438. So perhaps newly created launchers should
be executable by default, or would that defeat the original reason for

Ironically I just switched from jaunty kubuntu to jaunty ubuntu for a
system freeze issue after nvidia and kernel updates finished. I use a
Gigabyte A-E7AUM-DS2H with Nvidia Nforce and RealTek ALC889 +Geforce
9400. SPDIF worked in Kubuntub however for the life of me I cant get it
working in jaunty.

gnome-session has been consuming all my CPU for about a week, and
recently I've noticed that my daemon.log and syslog files are over 1 GB
in a day.
I'm not sure how to troubleshoot

launch playbin uri=file:///path/to/file.flac ? could you attach an
example to the report? thanks in advance.

did you read the changelog for the jaunty updates? upstream made a gecko
only version for this cycle and are working on webkit only in trunk now

Pedro, if you read bug #37935 (related to evolution) you can realize that is
the same thing I propose for f-spot: the ability to show the info of the last
selected photo (in bug #37935 evolution should have provided the ability to
show the content of the last selected email when multiple message
