I just ran the repro again on my intrepid box to make sure it still
repros and it did. After that I enabled -proposed and I installed your
updated package and ran the repro again and now the bug is gone.
I'm not a big rhythmbox user myself so I won't do any extensive testing

Happens also to me, very often on my EEE Pc, and sometimes on my Acer
laptop. There is an option to shutdown anyway, but if I close the laptop
lid it is easy to not notice the dialog and accidentally leave the

I testing this problem with Hardy, the problem is present not one system.

I have a hint about this issue. gnome-system-monitor is crashing only
when opening as user the "Filesystems" tab. Change the following key in
gconf and you'll be able to use at least the other tabs:
/apps/procman/current_tab. It is set to 3 per default (the "Filesystems"
tab). Change it to some val
I had the same bug on a french system.
Uninstalling 'libbrasero-media' and downgrading 'brasero' fixed the problem.

Step to trigger
1. When i open up nautilus when start typing words i find it able to search
accordingly to what i typed
2. Now open another tab by "CTRL+T"
3. Do typing to search for files i want again and it doesn't work already.

edit: It seems really to be something related to ext3 because (as I now
realize :D ) the crash appears on the machine with an ext3 /home and two
other partitions in ext3 whereas on another machine with /home and / in
reiserfs and another partition in ntfs it doesn't appear!

brasero --debug &> brasero-debug.txt perform the operation to reproduce
