for me.
If I ssh from an Intrepid (32-bit) desktop to an Intrepid server
(64-bit) and run Matlab (which utilizes Java), it still runs "slow"

For this case, I printed a PDF once successfully (technically speaking)
but I realized print margins were wrong. Then I changed them from

I want to add some more details. First, the issue is not just the
different height but also the different quality. If you look closer at
the screenshots you will see that the font in gnome-terminal looks more
"dirty" and "noisy". This looks to me like if a different font rendering
engine were used

Yes, I can confirm the bug in intrepid.
The "a" problem seems very easy to fix.
btw. another workaround:
1) mount it manually
mkdir /media/tmp
mount /dev/sd /media/tmp (e.g. mount /dev/sdb1 /media/tmp)
2) correct the mount point
3) umount/mount using gnome

Saw the same problem here (folders are opened with Totem). Started to
happen immediately after upgrading to Intrepid. Yes, I did choose once
to open a folder with Totem back then when it was Hardy yet but this

As of today, November 7th, 2008, I have been experiencing this bug for
four days now. I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (amd64) and the current kernel
(2.6.27-7-generic). My graphics hardware is a nVidia GeForce 8600 GT
running version 177 of the nVidia binary driver. I also have a dual

But I realised that file-roller package didn't take care of loading
working version of unrar.

Doing a bit of research I was able to find a workaround which works. I
found that deleting the ~/.config/totem/state.ini file will then
reinitialize totem's state and it should open up all subsequent files
properly. This worked for me and I was able to open files and
successfully switch between ful
