It'is realy a strange thing...
When my session starts, gconfd-2 is running high, with 20% CPU. Compiz
in disabled in System > Preference > Appearence.
When I try to launch compiz with the command-line , I have the folowing

After trying a few more cases it looks like this case happens when I
follow a symlink into the other filesystem. In that case gvfs-ls does
not show the file.
1. symlink from your home directory into another filesystem
2. use "dd if=/dev/zero of=zero bs=1M count=1024" to create a file there

I don't know if this is helpful, I do not have a solution but. I have
the same problem in Intrepid with a Samba server but not on another
Samba server. I do not know what difference causes the problem. So it

I think you're mixing things here, some reporters are commenting that
they get a crash, others that the applet freeze and others that the
applet doesn't accept input, this report is about applet not accepting
input which works fine for me in Hardy and Intrepid, could you try to
recreate that with a

@wolfwitch you're right... its all about authentication to get the
listing. Nothing specific to ADS or any other Samba server.

Don't overestimate my guessing on encoding. On a second look, the
specified charset and Encoding is for the content - which was in my test
case empty dummy files. Will test further, but unfortunately only
beginning of next week.

When i use the num keyboard, the cursor move (like the numlock was off)
When i hit ALT-G+8 (sending \ char) the VNC client receive the _ char.
Page up and page down doesn't work too.
