Included here is a patch to GNOME Panel which creates an infrastructure
for detecting when applets are added and removed from the panel. The
menus object then attaches to the signal handler to detect when the FUSA
applet is added or removed and hides the menu items for lock screen,

When gdm is starting the laptop freezes, the Caps Lock led start blinking and I

That was apparently my problem too — for some reason all tracks were
selected as the default mixer track. Selecting just "Master" fixed the
issue.

I can't get DVD Playback to work at all on 8.10 64-Bit. I tried the
trick of renaming "libresindvd.so" to "BACKUP-libresindvd.so" and that
did not solve the problem at all. Totem just displays a black screen. If
