This problem still must be solved. If anyone want the full support of Hardware, but also Intrepid, I would recommend installing the Kernel 2.6.24 and using the packages of Intrepid. You won't notice the difference, and gspca can be compiled and works. This would be another temporary solution. --

@Stephane: It should work with "export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so" not "v4l2convert". After compiling and installing, did you restart Linux? Are you sure, you installed 0.5.1? Try to uninstall the old one before compiling yourself the new version? Tell me too, the outputs of "lsusb"
