I saw that the original gesture definition of gdm do not include a
gesture to start gok in direct selection mode. (It only contains
gestures to start gok in dwelling and in automatic scanning mode.) So I
enhanced my patch with a gesture to start gok in direct selection mode.

XCompositeUnredirectWindow() on a redirected window is called (that
happens with unredirect fullscreen windows) then the xserver will do a
internal map/unmap cycle. No events are generated for this, its for

Hello.
I don't have the 8.10 installed here at home, only at the office so what I did
was boot a live CD here on my laptop and confirmed the bug, logged out and in 3
times and confirmed the bug.
Then I installed 2.24.0-0ubuntu8~ppa1 and loged out/in and it worked
perfect!

my touchpad it considers it to be a right click. It should continue to treat
tapping on the touchpad itself as a left click -- laptop touchapds are usually
centered on the lapt
(What a joy to see my CPU registers for the first time! It was nice to

Triaged - I had edited .gtk-bookmarks manually and thought it would
support $HOME and not need to include the absolute path to the resource.
Sadly, it doesn't. I didn't realize that would cause the panel to crash
