for me it's not fixed, Sorry.
I rebooted the system, removed all cmeta and ibex files and then started
evolution

I had desktop effects enabled to "normal" originally, and the problem
happened. I just tested it with desktop effects off and it still froze
my system.
I also just tested it with a .AVI video I have and it ran with no

have mounted (/discs/more) and also this luks partition of sda3 that used to
appear in Hardy; I've just tried inserting a USB stick and those do appear.

1. The problem with g-p-m not handling the brightness key when numlock
is set is in fact an issue local to gnome-power-manager. It's simply
neglects to grab the modifiers for the keys.

Running Intrepid beta. Restore evolution back-up from Hardy.
Enable checkbox "Edit > Preferences > Mail Preferences > General > Empty trash
folders on exit".
Frequency is set to "Every time".
However, the Trash folder is never emptied when I exit evolution.

Apparently GPM needs to be restarted in order to recognize second
battery. The issue needs further investigation.

Binary package hint: evolution
Running on Ubuntu 8.04 with 2GB of memory, a reasonable speedy
processor, and a hard disk that is 80% available. Evolution version
2.22.31.
I have been using the Evolution program without a single problem for a
few months. About three weeks ago

i just wanted to say that on kubuntu 8.10 beta the kpowermanager works quite
ok, and most of the times knows exactly how much is left.
so maybe this is gnome specific issue. ;)
