Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem here, I've got a macbook1,1 and
just installed intrepid beta from dvd, all worked untill i did an
upgrade to the latest packages. Now only sound mute/-/+ works,
brightness keys and eject key don't.

I can burn ISO files in Windows XP on both drives using Infra Recorder.

top/bottom arrows that appear in menus when they are too long to fit

BTW - I am running a HP dv6000t with nVidia Go 7400 using version 177

changing to OSS works, with autodetect and alsa I get the above stated errors.
the stuff luke describes doesn't work.

As Mark says this has nothing to do with AWN and is an issue with the
Intrepid beta. There is a fix available in a PPA in the duplicate bug

Yes, the account has the privileges. I can launch shut down from the system
menu. Apparently, Ubuntu has split up ending sessions into two different
commands in Intrepid. The first does what the quit applet is

Drag 'n' dropping files to the path bar should move them to the proper
location. This would make it easier to move files to parent folders.
Example: Consider I am in $HOME/foo/. It would be nice to move the file
$HOME/foo/bar directly to $HOME/b
