This morning I downloaded Intrepid Beta from the official site onto the
Thinkpad, verified MD5 sums, verified CD Image on the Thinkpad so its CD drive
is O.K.
Beta CD fails the same way as the 20080930 and the 20081001 fail.
Installed the Beta CD on another computer, runs O.K. for a Beta so th
I've just had it update the item count value from 'nothing' to an
incorrect value, when I right-clicked on a folder.
I guess this means that all the right-click is triggering is some form
of update, and not necessarily (but usually) to the correct value.

using the plugins from Intrepid. Additionally, the workaround of moving

I've deleted my user password completely, set the nullok directive in PAM and
now everything works ok without asking for password every five minutes EXCEPT
gnome-keyring. It still asks for my password and is unusable for me for this

FYI, when I remove the allegedly offending patch, the package still
can't be built twice, but revert patches fails on a different patch. So
I don't think is the particular translations patch.
