I opened /usr/bin (or any folder with a lot of files) in nautilus with compact
mode on.
What appears is a vertical scrollbar, and the mousewheel works.
Can you precise how you got this horizontal scrollbar? Any special option to

That's a good question. The "crash" comes up immediately after logging
in for the first time after a reboot or cold start. I am new to the

Reopening--I can reproduce this with depressing frequency. What's wrong
with the Apport-retraced stack trace that's already attached? If that's
not good enough, I ask again what -dbg packages I need to install to get
a stack trace that will be acceptable.

Eythian, It's not a permissions issue, still I wonder why root cannot
kill -9 a process. Maybe there are cases when this occurs, but I've

When I convert from HEX to BIN it tends to drop the trailing zeros. For
exampel D4 should be something like 11010100 but it returns 110101. The

I just got this bug ... arrow keys fail along with the cluster of keys
around insert, pagedown. PgUp gives me a "/", but / works as normal. I

Hi,
still running updated Hardy I've tried again today, with copy&paste the url
above.
Within Totem menu -> open place, the url was already pasted, opening, nothing
happens, window stays black, although the status bar said 'playing'. I stopped,
repeat the steps and the whole app darkened black,
I did try this a few days ago with an Ubuntu 8.10 beta x86_64 liveCD. I
could not reproduce the issue. Something must have been fixed along the
way.

To further this:
I have problems with objects (such as a clock) 'underneath' the video
window causing flickering of that area. Also, videos seem to want to be
'above' everything such as menus, causing some menus to be inaccessible.
This only happens when using Metacity as compositing manager. The

When I log on my session (I use GNOME) Nautilus doesn't work on my
desktop. I see only wallpaper, but i don't see files on it. On the other
hand nautilus works fine if i open directories from "Places" menu.

evolution-exchange was a superset of evolution (especially since
evolution has the exchange plugin enabled).

This isn't an issue with gnome-terminal. It appears to be an issue in openbox
itself.
FYI - I don't run anything on top of openbox.

installed of the mono-jit and f-spot packages, and any other relevant
info (e.g. 'low-down' things you've tweaked on your install e.g.
