I'm using intrepid ibex alpha 5 (plus updates). I'm having tracker
disabled in the preferences>session menu. But at every system start
trackerd gets started as well. As far as I remember I didn't have
trouble with this in hardy. So I reopen this as a new bug.

Yes the passwords are not meant to be copyable (at least so far) from that UI.

Steps to reproduce:
- open a folder in nautilus and select a file
- with that window to the side, open a file on the desktop by double clicking
- close the open file
- hit delete
One would expect that the file on the desktop would be deleted, ho

configuration, the ubuntu one is in gdm.conf which uses the correct
value there, that's not an ubuntu bug

On Intrepid the dialog window mentioned by Saïvann appears when you
logout using the Log Out button at the top right too (not just with the
user switcher). I think if this behaviour could be coupled with the
ability to bring such programs to the foreground then that would
completely solve this bug.
Thanks Dave. To me it sounds like the same issue manifesting itself in a
different way, as the issue potentially is only a result of what you are
dragging to (the list view), not where it came from or what it is. But I
will leave it as New for someone will more knowledge to figure out :)

I am sorry, I confused this bug with another bug. The one where the
password prompt does not show up until you start the synaptic or
whatever twice. That can be solved by solving that sudo-issue.
