Although this bugreport is quite old, I just have the same problem on
hardy. After login, I noticed that vino-server uses 100% cpu on one
core. Killing it with -TERM or -KILL is useless, as it gets started
again right away.

Yes, KDE4 is the version used in Intrepid. For a fix to be made
available for Hardy (or other previous release), a SRU must be issued
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates . In this case. it is a bug
that hadn't been touched for 2 years, and is not a high-impact bug, so a
SRU won't be issued

does anybody still get the issue in intrepid? upstream comments suggest
the issue is fixed in the gio version and not in the 0.11.6 so updating
the hardy version should not makes a difference there

1. I renamed /home/me/Music to /home/me/music.
2. I burnt some cds using sound juicer.
3. I started it up this evening to get solid air into my mp3 set.
4. I setting seems to revert back to /home/me

This problem is seen when trying to play VCD. I am using intrepid with latest
updates. But totem plays VCD fine when it is started from the Movie menu.
There is another problem that totem can not go to next track on VCD but I am
not sure if it is totem problem or gstreamer problem.
