I can confirm this bug -- it bit me today on up-to-date hardy, and seems very
likely to be an issue with evolution's Google calendar support. My timeline:

I was just about to report it, because now i'm able to reproduce this.
This bug happens when you have multiple gnome-terminal's opened. And
*if* you close one *window* (and not exit the shell), and afterwards you
change a profile setting... then the crash happens.

I have tried this camera with Ubuntu Hardy.
When I plug in the camera, a dialog appears saying something like "A

I tracked this down to a network setting. I had set a domain name, but only
run Windows as a workgroup.
Once I removed the Domain, the synaptics package manager started working in the

not confirming in intrepid, starting only gnome-panel, switching to an
another workspace, opening a command line and typing nautilus opens the
dialog on the current workspace, what desktop environment do you use?
