I found this bug now with these versions:
ubuntu hardy 8.04.1
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.7-3ubuntu0.1
with this file:

My exact problem is that gstreamer wont play this file, writes nothing, just
waits. No error messages, nothing.

Hi!
Last week I overwrited my Desktop with a file.
I can't reproduce it, but these were the steps:
- in opera chose to download a file
- in the save file dialog, I used the keyboard to navigate to Desktop folder
- after some letter, I quickly hit enter
- the file overwrited my Dektop dir

and restarts. I've tried disabling compiz, deleting ~/.config/auto

I had some strange items listed in seahorse such as this,
