file system operations (in particular, moving a directory into a root

1 open /usr/share/ and home dir in two nautilus windows

the first tme this occured to me was after copying some files from my
/home/user to as subdir in /usr . I had to do the copy as root so on
that occasion I used sudo ( bad practice I know ) nautilus to invoke a
privlaged nautilus to do the copy. after copying I returned to my /home

and I pressed ctrl alt f1 and got the virtual terminal. then pressed
ctrl-alt-f7 and got a black screen. Mouse cursor moved but no icons or

by killing the root nautilus , infact you cannot kill it because the
system is completly unresponsive and only a hard reset or sysreq rseiub
