I had this problem in Hardy x86-64, but installing [lame] and then
[gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse] in that order (i.e. lame may not
have been necessary) made it work. I still cannot select aac, however,

My problem appears to be related to pulseaudio...
The installation is a dist-upgrade from Dapper, there may be something
missing in my configuration that a clean Hardy install has set up.
The workaround for my problem was to go to:
System -> Preferences -> Sound
and change all the playback sink
i am still having a problem:

- login to gnome
- i am asked to unlock the keyring to get access to the wireless

Brasero still works, CD burning works, Nautilus CD burning works, but

I can confirm that xtknight's packages fix both problems for me.
For anyone else looking to test, you have to download and install the
.debs individually, because they are now the same version as the ones
for Hardy, so they won't upgrade automatically.
