I am using a Philips SPC620NC webcam using the v4l2 driver. Ekiga's
configuration druid successfully performs all the tests. I can also access the
webcam using e.g. mplayer and get a correct picture.
In ekiga however, the video display is mangled.

I got the same issue here. Maybe totem does handle the quicktime mov
files correctly, but this is not the case for the Quicktime plugin
7.2.0, and by default it is this plugin which handles the embedded
movies.

1. Go to http://www.themuso.id.au/ubuntu/alsa and download the packages that
are relevant to your architecture. So if you are running amd64, you would
download libasound2 and libasound2-plugins for amd64 (if you use

difference. In desperation, I removed the whole .gtk-bookmarks file, and
the problem has gone. How or why, I don't know. There was no visible
corruption (or unprintables) in the file. But everything is back to
normal now.

I can also confirm this problem with Firefox 3. I had to downgrade my
uncle's computer to Firefox 2. He uses dialup and never had any problem
before. Firefox 3 always starting offline was really confusing him.
I hope this gets fixed soon. It is really tough for folks who have to
use a modem anyway

I plugged in an SD card and the photo import dialog from F-Spot
appeared. As I was trying to cancel the import by pressing Alt+c, I
realized the keyboard shortcut had no effect; this was due to it being
the same for both Cancel and Copy. Pressing t

1:2.22.2-0ubuntu2) and the patches fixes the problem. I was able to open
60 gnome-terminal windows with no problem. However, a side effect is
that a single window takes the whole bar and it is not possible to right
clic to set the bar to bo
Intrepid is in alpha phase currently meaning that we wont be able to use
the fixed version until October this year...
I hope it will be fixed prior to the release date of intrepid so we can
use it with the upcoming 8.04.1 release...
