I tried several refresh rates from 1 to 4 and the graphs are jerky
If I set 0.25 0.50 or 0.75 it is smooth but the graph goes too fast and uses

This is not really a bug. Gedit is an editor for text files. You try to
open a binary file. There is no meaningful representation of such files
in a texteditor. I am not sure why you try to do this. Maybe you want to
try a hexeditor like hexedit instead.

I'm not sure you should close the report. I have been mounting shares
via the command line smbmount. I have created a script to do this but
its a workaround. Today my script has ceased to function. What is
going on?

I changed my xorg.conf of:

I'm using totem-xine.
The thread above on ubuntuforums indicates one person is having the
problem with xine, not Totem.
