To be honest this is the last time I upgrade to a new version of ubuntu as
soon as it's released. I face a lot of problems (like I did when I switched
to 'gutsy').
The worst of all problems comes to sleep/hibernate. I was satisfied with
gutsy on this (after ofcourse spending a lot of time fixing i

It generally worked until I upgraded to Hardy/Ubuntu 8.04. Now, first

On my installation (Hardy Final, up to date as of date of this comment
(May 4th, 2008), this bug is either not fixed or has regressed and the
trash applet fails exactly as stated above for me, including the fix of
adding a new trash applet and removing the old one fixing the problem.

When I type :
gnome-session-remove gnome-panel
the terminal just hangs on and I have to type Ctrl-C to move on.
When I type :
gnome-session-remove --list

I'm trying view an SFTP connection using nautilus. The drive maps OK,
but attempting to view it causes the window to disappear, then reappear
in my home directory. After a few attempts at this, I checked my logs.
I get segfault errors in Nautil
I'm seeing this with keyboard shortcuts on Gutsy and Hardy as well. I
worked around it for now by moving the keybindings from the "special"
volume up, down, mute to be metacity run_command_* bindings. The
commands I used were as follows:
Volume Down:
amixer -c 0 set PCM 2dB
Volume Up:
amixer -c
This clearly affects some package in Ubuntu. Unless and until someone
sets the right package (or moves this to another bug), this task can
track it.
