I have this problem too after upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04. I'm using an Nvidia
7300 LE.
Login screen seems to run at a different resolution and is off centered and
really annoying.
After logging in the resolution is back to default and working. How can I fix

I am not getting the "transport endpoint" error, but ~/.gvfs locations
are not working after logout. I created an sftp bookmark with Connect
to Server, and when I link to it, the link is actually to ~/.gvfs as
expected, but after reboot the ~/.gvfs folder has disappeared, and
doesn't even reappear

Ideally, the default vertical size would be increased and the order of
the themes would have some sort of logic.

This is most likely a GVFS problem, so I'm moving it there.
Debug information would be great. If you could get a Wireshark capture
of the session and see if this problem persists if you use gvfs-mount to
mount the dav location that would be very helpful.
