FWIW my problem with g-d-p was that it wasn't enough to drag the laptop
screen to the side of the external screen. Apparently I had to
explicitly click on the external screen, and then change the resolution
from "Off" to something sane. I wish g-d-p automatically chose the

Hi manatlan,
I have had working wallpaper ever since filing this bug. My solution
was to have gnome set to show desktop. That means I have icons visible,
but I simply move or delete them to get wallpaper I can change at will
and no icons.

Thanks for your report, can you please run brasero as: brasero --debug
&>brasero-debug.txt and attach that file to the report? BTW the check
integrity after the eject is known by the brasero developers and they're
working on it to have it fixed soon, thanks you.

Ah, thanks so far; could be a bug in the kernel or in hal. Can you
please do the debugging steps on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebugginHal for
the broken case, i. e. inserting the CD while the computer and the debug
hald are already running? Thanks!

Developers only fix bugs they think are important. This one is pretty
pathetic really. I'm sure otther OSes have unfixed flaws much worse than
this.
If it's easy to fix, do it yourself. That's the beauty of having the
source.
