When i 'enable' the fglrx driver with it's direct-rendering, OpenOffice

I'm glad to report that this issue has been resolved in Hardy Heron.
The latest LTS release has been a huge success as far as I'm concerned.

Hi, everytime you type a command within the terminal it's been written
into your ~/.bash_history file. At every startup terminal reads that
file and fill its "history buffer" with that file.
In fact, the "buffer" is common for every terminal - history command
simply show ~/.bash_history file

I am still getting the error during the check of the integrity of the

I checked my syslogs and can confirm "gnome-keyring-d [...] segfault..." When
booting i also get "usb1-2, device not accepting address 2, error -71, assuming
drive cash.." probably not relevant but those are the only err-messages i can
find.

Hi all,
I get exactly the same error on a clean install of Hardy. Selecting the clock
applet right after startup causes gnome-panel to become unresponsive. It also
seems to crash the network manager applet.

Ran into the same problem.
Upgraded from an up-to-date Gutsy to Hardy yesterday. No alpha, beta or
RC versions of Hardy installed. Hardy distribution from the
ubuntu.mirrors.skynet.be mirror. Numpad broken after the upgrade.
Same solution: switch "allow to control pointer using keyboard" to off.
Seeing this still present in Hardy annoyed me enough to take a look at
Ubuntulooks source code. Attached patch seems to fix this bug.

I can confirm the same issue. I am not using any flash-based storage,
just a regular hdd.
I upgraded 7.10 x64 --> 8.04 x64 on my Macbook Pro 3,1. Upgrade appeared
to go okay, and the machine starts, but login hangs. I can access tty.

I'm using an Adaptec 2410sa controller and getting the same problems.
This problem only seems to affect USB drives, solid state discs and raid
controllers which i think are all are all SCSI devices.

I'd like to add that the .gvfs mount point functionality sometimes (or
rather often) just breaks without reason (with transpoint endpoint not
connected error), even though no logout/login has been done. So it's a
more generic problem.
