I have core 2 duo with nividia. I upgraded from gutsy to hardy manually
today and found my system is not working the way it should.
At the begining all menus in my system froze in ~30 seconds after login
and I had to restart gdm to get them working again.

Had it again. This time I also had a network problem, dhcp had failed.
Checked in the Sessions - Startup Programs tab and Network Manager was
unchecked and there was still a Wicd entry , although I had uninstalled
Wicd before upgrading from 7.10.

I'm having the same issue. In addition to that, after connecting to a
regular dav:// server, I cannot open any of the files displayed, or
navigate outside of the root folder. Using the "Places" -> "Connect to
Server" menu also gives me issues with ftp, but i can work around that.

transfers laptop is running hardy heron, desktop is running gusty
gibbon. any large file transfer in Nautilus (>~200 MB) will time out,
downloading with SMB client works with no problems. Haven't done any

Here is a side thought that may solve this problem for some: why not
increase the frequency of battery polling as the level gets lower? There
is probably not a huge advantage in knowing each percent point change
between 90% and 80%, but it sounds as though it would make a difference
under 20%.

This is the log of the battery running out when I am hardly using it (to
