I have been trying to fix this for a few hours and finally got it
working. I went into my gnome settings within my home/user/.apps/
directory and deleted any config file associated with sound juicer. I
have no idea why this worked, but now everything is back to normal.

Same problem here after recent Hardy Beta update. There
was an automatic crash report I ignored.
I think this is an important bug. Certainly an LTS distro
should have power management work properly for many
important reasons.

The bug here is meant to be the fact that there's no longer a way to
easily specify a custom application to be launched upon DVD, audio CD
and music player insertion. A separate bug should be filed about that in
the upstream bug tracker if the reporter finds it necessary.
The bug as it is defined
mystictim, /etc/gnome/defaults.list is meant as a read-only file where
the GNOME default mimetypes are listed. You shouldn't modify it. Your
method is an intrusive workaround and is not acceptable as a way of
customizing what's choosable in the Media tab of the Nautilus
preferences.

I think I'm seeing this on Hardy too, or at least something similar. It
generated a crash report when dropping a menu item from one folder into
another, all within the same alacarte window. The window stayed open.
