Thank you! I'm glad to see that the 2.6.24-11-generic kernel I recently
installed has fixed this!
One slightly odd request: sometimes, for a gimmick, it's fun to turn off the
backlight deliberately; is there any way to do this now, perhaps by echoing a
specific negative value into sysfs manuall
This problem seems to be solved. I did not see this bug in the past weeks, when
the drive and volume tabs were missing from the drive properties tab. Today,
the new gnome-mount 0.8~svn20080225-0ubuntu1 brought back those missing tabs
and I can still use the drive properties menu without crash.

Hi hggdh, I agree with you. If we create (or receive) a new file, for
example, with a new mime-type and an unknown extension, we should be
able to mail it anyway. I think any patch should be in the sense of not
crashing if mime-type is not recognized.

Preferences/Mail Preferences/Automatic Contacts. Then what will happen
is every so often the synchronisation will start -- for each buddy in

Not fixed in Debian unstable. This patch applies to the Ubuntu version:
wxwidgets2.6_2.6.3.2.2-2ubuntu1
The patch removes python-xml from Suggests: in a couple of binary
packages, and removes mention of python-xml in the long description of
some packages.

I got the crash again when I did this. I think the crash happens once a
reboot. Iran the command before and after inserting my media player
(note the problem is that it is not a camera) and here is the diff:

+++ after 2008-03-06 08:07:38.86
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 and the installed version of Rhythmbox is
0.11.2-0ubuntu4 ( I installed it through aptitude)
Rthythmbox does not response after started .
