Same for me, also on an inspiron 1501.
However there are more issues, the powermanager is also slow: disconnect
power and it takes more than half a minute before it shows.
I think this was introduced somewhere between hardy alpha2 and alpha3
when iirc something with the polling intervals changed.

Hi,
I managed to solve the problem. It's an ergonomic and translation problem. In
the French translation the podcast "flux" box is visible only if you check the
"parcourir" (browse) option in "affichage"(show) menu. It's a totally
confusing denomination. So if you uncheck the "parcourir"/Itune
I confirm this issue with Hardy Heron up to date.

I've noticed at least one inaccuracy in the Location -> timezone mapping
in the new clock applet in Hardy. In my case, when one searches for
Eugene, OR, it sets the timezone to Mountain time, when it should be

If you uncheck the "parcourir" box and go to the podcast tab. You have 3
buttons at the right of the search box, "Tout"/All, "Flux", "Episode".

I discovered, that there are 2 different trash locations. The "~/.Trash"
directory which is used by (e.g.) gthumb and "trash:///"
(~/.local/share/Trash/files) which is used by nautilus.

NOT have anything to do with where the window goes, IMHO.

That option was already off for me. I don't know if this is precisely
the same issue, but I have observed that it seems to use an inordinate
amount of memory. I previously had a maximum scrollback size of 10
lines, which works out to 62 MB per tab, but my memory usage went a lot
over that aft
