nautilus windows disappeared and that one came back. The first time I
thought it was a refresh bug

removing AC power causes unwanted suspend and breaks
As I already wrote nearly a year ago, everything was fine in Feisty,
when I used the Feisty Kernel. But due to supsend problems I used an
older kernel of the previous ubuntu version. That older kernel caused
the reported problems. In Feisty and now (in Gutsy) everything is ok.

I've been running Hardy for some time, and I haven't observed this bug
in so long that I'd forgotten about it.

You're absolutely right, sorry about that, i meant to ask the test in the
development version of Ubuntu, Hardy Heron, not the live cd environment.
I can't reproduce this using suspend due the fact I've issues with my BIOS and
ACPI, but hibernate works fine for me while on AC or battery.

installed? Is it an encrypted DVD? This maybe because you don't have the
libdvdread3 package installed. Try to install those packages.

After today updates(08/02/21) the battery monitor isn't working(not
showing) al boot time. If i connect the charger -> it shows, but it
doesn't update the battery status. Also, if i disconnect the charger,

Have you tried not using your custom xorg.conf ("sudo mv
/etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup") and restarting X? Even
if there is some feature that you need to manually edit your xorg.conf
to enable, please see if the resolution is correct when xorg detects
settings automatically.

hi i'm having this problem with hardy too. i was using the eye of gnome.
then it was block (gray) and final it close by itself.

** Description changed:
After recent updates on hardy, 21/02/2008, the power manager is showing
weird behaviour as follows:
1. The option in power preferences is set to show icon on discharging or
charging, but running on battery shows no icon.
2. On setting preference show icon always
Confirmed still occurs in epiphany-browser-2.21.90-0ubuntu4. Similar
problem is seen when trying to "Delete all spam messages now" in gmail,
instead of popping up a confirming dialog, nothing happens.
